Ripon Rugby Club

Ripon Rugby Club is a community based club located in the city of Ripon, North Yorkshire. The club was founded in 1886 and caters for young and old alike, whether it is playing rugby or having an interest in volunteering there is a place for you.

The rugby club currently has 4 adult teams and have recently been joined by the club’s development squad (for the U17’s and U18’s). The club also boasts a number of flourishing junior teams, and welcomes all young rugby players from the Under 7’s right through to the Under 16’s.

Ripon Rugby Club has three full sized pitches which are beautifully maintained by a group of volunteers, and additional training facilities which mean that the pitches can have time to recuperate between matches, keeping them in tip top condition.

The clubhouse, which was recently extended, features a new function room which has room for up to 100 guests and is used by the local community for various functions and meetings.

Ripon Rugby Club’s official sponsor is the nationally recognised Theakston’s Brewery , located in neighbouring Masham, Theakston’s is one of the oldest traditional ale brewery’s in the UK.
